RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THE SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING THE SAN MATEO COUNTY NARCOTICS TASK FORCE

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, in 1984, the County of San Mateo and the cities in the County entered into a Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) to create the San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force, and that agreement was first amended in 1988; and

WHEREAS, the parties to the JPA wish to further amend the agreement, and have presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and execution a Second Amendment to the JPA, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars; and

WHEREAS, this Board has examined and approved said Second Amendment as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Second Amendment to the Narcotics Task Force Joint Powers Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk shall attest his signature thereto,

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the District Attorney, in his capacity as Chair of the Narcotics Task Force Board, is directed and authorized to send this Second Amendment to the Joint Powers Agreement to all other member agencies for their approval and execution.
