BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION APPOINTING WILLIAM STRONCK TO THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF THE SKYLINE COUNTY WATER DISTRICT AND RICHARD HAMNER TO THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF THE LADERA RECREATION DISTRICT IN ACCORDANCE WITH ELECTIONS CODE SECTION 10515(b)

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Chief Elections Officer has certified that certain offices were scheduled to appear on the ballot for the Consolidated Municipal, School and Special District Election to be held throughout the County of San Mateo on Tuesday, the 8th of November, 2005; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Elections Officer has determined that for one position for Director of the Skyline County Water District that has a four year term, no candidate filed a declaration of candidacy within the prescribed time period; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Elections Officer has also determined that for one position of the Ladera Recreation District that has a four year term, no candidate filed a declaration of candidacy within the prescribed time period; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Elections Code '10500, this Board is the supervising authority for districts in which is situated all or most of the land of the district in the County of San Mateo; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Elections Officer has submitted these facts to the supervising authority, pursuant to Elections Code '10515; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Elections Code '10515(b), if no person has filed a declaration of candidacy this Board of Supervisors shall appoint any person to the office who is qualified as of the date when the election would have been held.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that William Stronck be appointed to the position of Director of the Skyline County Water District for a full term of four years and Richard Hamner be appointed to the position of Director of the Ladera Recreation District for a full term of four years and that clerk shall enter said certificates of appointments.
