THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING
|
|
|
MATEO LODGE, INC.
ON 30 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE MENTALLY ILL
|

|
WHEREAS, in 1975, members of the Alliance for the Mentally Ill (AMI) of San Mateo County founded MATEO LODGE, INC., a non-profit agency, whose primary purpose is to provide community support services for adults who suffer serious mental illness; and
|
|
|
WHEREAS, MATEO LODGE, INC. provides a complete continuum of care, managing 3 licensed facilities, 2 non-licensed independent homes, a residential apartment complex, 24-hour outreach services and case management services; and
|
|
|
WHEREAS, MATEO LODGE, INC. is dedicated to providing hope, help, and humane living for the mentally ill and assisting individuals in realizing their goals for self-directed personal growth and encouraging participants to advocate for their own needs and to become active citizens within the community; and
|
|
WHEREAS, MATEO LODGE, INC. has a primary concern to be attentive to the specific and varying needs of consumers and their families and believes that family involvement is invaluable, and is greatly encouraged through participation on the Board of Directors and through program implementation and that this input is crucial to sustaining innovative programs which meet the specialized needs of each individual and supports the community as a whole,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, recognizes and congratulates MATEO LODGE, INC. on 30 years of service to the mentally ill and extends wishes of continued strength and resolve in their purpose to serve this dynamic population.
