RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING

 

Melissa A. Mortz

For Her Service With The

Criminal Justice Council

of San Mateo County

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

WHEREAS, Melissa A. Mortz has served the Criminal Justice Council of San Mateo County since August 2002, first as an assistant to the executive director before becoming executive director herself; and

   

WHEREAS, as executive director and without a full staff, Melissa was in effect the face and voice of the CJC, but her responsibilities spanned the landscape, ranging from daily office management to media and government affairs to preparing and distributing the annual crime report; and

   

WHEREAS, Melissa served as grant administrator for various law-enforcement organizations, including youth athletic leagues, domestic violence prevention programs, released prisoners assistance, sobriety efforts and the Narcotics Task Force; and

   

WHEREAS, Melissa’s multiple roles with the CJC has been characterized by CJC board members and others as “outstanding and efficient,” while describing her as a dedicated and talented professional.

   

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County recognizes Melissa A. Mortz for her years of selfless service to the Criminal Justice Council of San Mateo County and to the people of the county. The Board hereby extends to Melissa and her family sincere wishes for many more years of happiness and success in all future endeavors.
