Resolution Designating Two Hour Time Limited Parking Zones
in Public Rights-Of-Ways

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the State of California Vehicle Code allows a local agency to establish time limited parking zones in public rights-of-ways; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that certain previously approved time limited parking zones continue, and that new time limited parking zones be established to provide for the orderly movement of traffic; and

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors has reviewed and concurs with the recommendation of the Director of Public Works.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

1.

Two hour time limited parking zones are declared to exist at the following locations:

Ø

On the southerly side of “A” STREET commencing at a point 125 feet westerly of the intersection of EL CAMINO REAL, State Highway 82, and extending westerly a distance of 20 feet, more or less.

Ø

On the southerly side of “A” STREET commencing at a point 145 feet westerly of the intersection of EL CAMINO REAL, State Highway 82, and extending westerly a distance of 380 feet, more or less, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, holidays excepted.

Ø

On the northerly side of “A” STREET commencing at a point 95 feet westerly of the intersection of EL CAMINO REAL, State Highway 82, and extending westerly a distance of 405 feet, more or less, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, holidays excepted.

Ø

On the northwesterly side of DUMBARTON AVENUE commencing at a point 66 feet northerly of the intersection of CROCKER AVENUE and extending northerly a distance of 21 feet, more or less.

Ø

On the southwesterly side of INDUSTRIAL WAY commencing at a point 666 feet northwesterly of the intersection of HOLLY STREET and extending northwesterly a distance of 86 feet, more or less, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excepted.

Ø

On the easterly side of MAC ARTHUR AVENUE commencing at a point 245 feet northeasterly of the intersection of MIDDLEFIELD ROAD and extending northeasterly a distance of 39 feet, more or less, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excepted.

On both sides of MIDDLEFIELD ROAD commencing at the DUMBARTON SPUR RAILROAD CROSSING and extending southeasterly to the intersection of EIGHTH AVENUE, a distance of 7,200 feet, more or less, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. excepting therefrom where other parking restrictions are implemented by Resolution of the Board of Supervisors.

Ø

On the southwesterly side of MIDDLEFIELD ROAD commencing at a point 28 feet northerly of the intersection of HURLINGAME AVENUE and extending northerly a distance of 66 feet, more or less.

Ø

On the southwesterly side of SECOND AVENUE commencing at a point 71 feet southerly of the intersection of MIDDLEFIELD ROAD and extending southerly a distance of 45 feet, more or less.

Ø

On the southwesterly side of SYLVAN STREET commencing at a point 85 feet southeasterly of the intersection of HILLSIDE BOULEVARD and extending southeasterly a distance of 233 feet, more or less, between the hours of 9:00 o’clock A.M. and 6:00 o’clock P.M., Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excepted.

Said two hour time limited parking zones shall remain in effect until rescinded by the Board of Supervisors.
