RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SANCHEZ ADOBE DRAFT MASTER PLAN

AND DIRECTING STAFF TO PROCEED WITH THE

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW PROCESS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo owns property known as the Sanchez Adobe Historical Site (Site) at 1000 Linda Mar Boulevard in Pacifica;

WHEREAS, the Site was opened as a County Park in the mid-1950’s and since 1979, the County has partnered with the San Mateo County Historical Association to provide interpretive programs at the Site;

WHEREAS, the development of a Master Plan was identified as a need to better preserve, interpret and promote the Site;

WHEREAS, the goals of the Master Plan for the Site were developed through a public review process for which a Draft Master Plan was prepared;

WHEREAS, the process for a Final Master Plan requires environmental review; and

WHEREAS, the County Parks and Recreation Commission at their May 19, 2005 meeting unanimously made the recommendation that the Board of Supervisors: 1) approve the Draft Sanchez Adobe Master Plan, and 2) direct staff to proceed with the environmental review process.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors approve the Draft Sanchez Adobe Master Plan and direct staff to proceed with the environmental review process.
