RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING | ||||
Dennis J. Bennett | ||||
Upon his retirement after 30 years with the Daly City Police Department | ||||

WHEREAS, Dennis J. Bennett joined the Daly City Police Department on July 14, 1975, after graduating from the Basic Police Academy at the College of San Mateo; and | ||||
WHEREAS, in addition to serving Daly City as a Patrol Officer and member of the Special Weapons and Tactics Unit, Dennis served his fellow officers for some 21 years as a Field Training Office, sharing his knowledge with new officers; and from 1986 until retirement, he was Rangemaster, providing guidance to colleagues on a variety of firearms as well as several non-lethal weapons; and | ||||
WHEREAS, Dennis brought honor to his badge and held the respect of his fellow officers by earning six Departmental Commendations, six Unit Commendations, plus 41 letters of appreciation from the department and members of the public; and | ||||
WHEREAS, Dennis has distinguished himself as a law enforcement professional, a mentor to his fellow officers, a protector of Daly City and a role model for its youth. | ||||
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County congratulates Dennis J. Bennett upon his retirement from the Daly City Police Department after 30 years of dedicated service. The Board hereby extends sincere wishes to Dennis and his family for luck in all future endeavors, plus many years of continuous peace and happiness. | ||||
