THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING

Robert J. Habermas

Upon his retirement after 28 years with the

Daly City Police Department

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

 

WHEREAS, Robert J. Habermas joined the Daly City Police Department on October 10, 1977, approximately one year after graduating from the Basic Police Academy at the College of San Mateo; and

   

WHEREAS, Robert excelled as a Patrol Officer, and was assigned to the Special Weapons and Tactics Unit, where he served for 18 years; and

   

WHEREAS, Robert also served his city through an assignment with the Detective Division, then as a Canine Officer for eight years and as an Acting Sergeant on numerous occasions throughout his career; and

   

WHEREAS, Robert brought honor to his badge and held the respect of his fellow officers by earning more than a dozen Departmental Commendations, several Unit Commendations, plus several letters of praise and commendation from the department, other agencies and members of the public; and

   

WHEREAS, Robert has distinguished himself as a law enforcement professional, a leader of his fellow officers, a protector of Daly City and a role model for its youth.

   

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County congratulates Robert J. Habermas upon his retirement from the Daly City Police Department after 28 years of dedicated service. The Board hereby extends sincere wishes to Robert and his family for luck in all future endeavors, plus many years of continuous peace and happiness.
