THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING

David R. Boffi

Upon his retirement after 31 years with the

Daly City Police Department

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

WHEREAS, David R. Boffi joined the Daly City Police Department on July 1, 1974, obtaining his Basic Police Officer Certificate in 1975, followed by his Advanced certificate in 1980 from the Police Academy at the College of San Mateo; and

WHEREAS, while serving as a Patrol Officer, Dave continued his education, earning a bachelor’s degree in justice administration in 1980 from Golden gate University in San Francisco; and

WHEREAS, Dave became a Detective in 1983 and Senior Detective in 1991, focusing on sexual assault and domestic violence cases; and from 2000 until retirement, was Senior Detective on robberies and homicides; and

WHEREAS, Dave brought honor to his badge and held the respect of his fellow officers by earning numerous awards and commendations, including the San Mateo County Domestic Violence Committee Police Officer award; and was named Top Instructor by three separate classes at the South Bay Police Academy; and

WHEREAS, Dave has distinguished himself as a law enforcement professional, a leader of his fellow officers, a protector of Daly City and a role model for its youth.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County congratulates David R. Boffi upon his retirement from the Daly City Police Department after 31 years of dedicated service. The Board hereby extends sincere wishes to Dave and his family for luck in all future endeavors, plus many years of continuous peace and happiness.
