RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FORESTRY AND FIRE PROTECTION FOR FIRE PROTECTION AND PREVENTION SERVICES

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CDF) will provide fire protection services for the County; and

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to enter into an Agreement, to provide fire protection services for the period of July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006 for a total obligation of $7,400,824; and

WHEREAS, the Unit Chief (Ranger-in-Charge) of the San Mateo/Santa Cruz Ranger Unit of CDF has been appointed the Fire Warden per County ordinance; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of said Agreement and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on the behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest to the President’s signature thereto.
