RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A WAIVER OF THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL PROCESS AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COMMUNITY OVERCOMING RELATIONSHIP ABUSE (CORA) FOR THE TERM JULY 1, 2005 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2006

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors, for its consideration and acceptance, an Agreement with CORA, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby CORA will provide domestic violence prevention and intervention services to families in San Mateo County for FY 2005-06 in the amount of $105,000; and

WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the County to waive the Request for Proposal Process for the continuation of the domestic violence prevention and intervention services because CORA is the sole source provider of such services in San Mateo County; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Agreement and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Request for Proposal is waived and that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Request for Proposal process is waived for said Agreement.
