WHEREAS, on January, 30, 2006, the Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto celebrates its grand opening; and

   

WHEREAS, the Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto is now part of a growing collection of Four Seasons luxury hotels, a premier choice for business and leisure travelers; and

   

WHEREAS, the Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto is located in the heart of Silicon Valley and will provide exceptional facilities, amenities and services to its travelers including 200 rooms with 27 suites, comprehensive meeting space, complete spa and fitness facilities, a restaurant, and high technology, wireless capabilities; and

   

WHEREAS, the Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto has a contemporary design which promotes art by highlighting paintings and sculptures from around the world; and

 

WHEREAS, the Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto has participated in the first source hiring program, to both train and hire nearby San Mateo County residents; and

   

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors congratulates and welcomes the Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto to the County of San Mateo.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby designates January 30, 2006, as the Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto Grand Opening Day and is proud to have this hotel located in our County. We wish the Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto and its staff all the best for success.
