RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONTROLLER TO CONTINUE PAYMENTS ON SAN MATEO COUNTY AIDS PROGRAM SERVICE AGREEMENTS WITH

THE AIDS COMMUNITY RESEARCH CONSORTIUM AND

COMMUNITY DENTAL CARE, INC., A CALIFORNIA NONPROFIT

CORPORATION FROM MARCH 1, 2006 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2006.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Agreements with the AIDS Community Research Consortium for $299,478, to provide HIV food services and with Community Dental Care, Inc., for $211,462 to provide HIV dental services will expire on February 28, 2006, and renewals have not been completed; and

WHEREAS, the Controller does not have the authority to make payments to these contractors between the expiration date and time of completion of the new Agreements; and

WHEREAS, this Board wishes to continue payments to these contractors through June 30, 2006, pending execution of new Agreements:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors authorizes the Controller to continue payments through June 30, 2006, on said Agreements for and on behalf of the County, subject to contractors’ continued compliance with all terms and conditions of their most recent Agreements with the County, with the exception of the fiscal terms and conditions. Said payments are to be in the amounts authorized by the Director of the Health Department or her designee.
