Resolution Authorizing Execution of an Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement with Thistlethwaite Architectural Group - Design of the Keller Women & Children Services Unit at the San Mateo Medical Center

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, this Board authorized the execution of an agreement with the Thistlethwaite Architectural Group to provide architectural services to the County for the design of a Keller Women & Children Services Unit at San Mateo Medical Center, herein called Agreement; and

WHEREAS, this Board on December 14, 2004, by Resolution 067113, approved Amendment No. 1 to said agreement with the Thistlethwaite Architectural Group; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Executive Officer of the San Mateo Medical Center and the Director of Public Works have both recommended that said Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement be approved;

WHEREAS, Amendment No. 2 will authorize the Director of Public Works to realign the Schedule of Values in the Agreement so as to compensate the consultant for reimbursable unanticipated expenses and optional miscellaneous services without increasing the total Agreement not-to-exceed amount; and

WHEREAS, this Board has considered and concurs in the recommendation of both the Chief Executive Officer of the San Mateo Medical Center and the Director of Public Works, has reviewed and approved said Amendment No. 2 as to substance and as to form, and desires to authorize the execution of said Amendment No. 2.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment No. 2 to the agreement with the Thistlethwaite Architectural Group for architectural services for the design of a Keller Women & Children Services Unit at San Mateo Medical Center.
