RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND HONORING | ||||
Eva M. Aiello | ||||
For | ||||
Consistent and Conspicuous Community Service | ||||

WHEREAS, Eva M. Aiello is a founding member of the Hillside Homeowners Improvement Association, which formed in 1956 to protect and maintain the quality-of-Life in its community; and | ||||
WHEREAS, Eve eventually became HHIA’s first woman president, plus an additional four terms, including 2003 through 2005; and | ||||
WHEREAS, Eve’s civic commitment included years of service on the Daly City Parks and Recreation Commission as well as the San Mateo County Parks and Recreation Commission; and | ||||
WHEREAS, Eve and her leadership of HHIA have been instrumental in numerous projects in Daly City, such as the Anti-Graffiti and Clean Communities Programs; the PG&E clean-up near Orange and East Market Streets; preservation of a field at Pollicita Middle School as open space; and | ||||
WHEREAS, Eve’s tireless efforts earned her Citizen of the Year honors from the mayor of Daly City in 2003; and | ||||
WHEREAS, for five decades, Eve has exemplified the very definition of civic involvement. Her efforts have had direct, positive influences on the City of Daly City as well as the County of San Mateo as a whole. | ||||
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County recognizes and honors Eva M. Aiello for consistent and conspicuous community service. The Board hereby expresses its gratitude and extends sincere wishes for many more years of success and excellence. | ||||
