THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING

 

CARLOS CARVAJAL

2006 Arts Educator

WHEREAS, Carlos Carvajal served as the Artistic Director for the Peninsula Ballet Theatre (PBT) in San Mateo County from 1995 to the fall of 2005; and

   
 

WHEREAS, Carlos Carvajal is at the present the Choreographer and Director Emeritus for the PBT; and

   
 

WHEREAS, Carlos Carvajal has worked with ballet students and professionals on many exceptional dance programs for the PBT; and

   
 

WHEREAS, Carlos Carvajal has contributed to the arts education of San Mateo County residents with exceptionally high quality ballet programs; and

   
 

WHEREAS; Carlos Carvajal has contributed to the cultural and educational resources of the County with works, such as The Nutcracker, Peter and the Wolf, Milangeros, Cinderella’s Crystal Slipper, Notturno and Shapes of E.

   
 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby commends Choreographer/Director Emeritus Carlos Carvajal for his artistic and educational contributions to the County and wishes him continued great success.
