RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT (#05-0291) WITH THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FOOD AND AGRICULTURE TO PROVIDE PEST EXCLUSION PROGRAM SERVICES INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $51,680 TO A REVISED AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $369,384.51.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that:

WHEREAS, on November 8, 2005, the Board of Supervisors authorized the execution of Agreement (#05-0291) with the California Department of Food and Agriculture by Resolution Number 067624 for the purpose of funding pest exclusion services including High Risk Pest Exclusion inspections, Sudden Oak Death/Oak Mortality Disease Regulation surveys and inspections and whereby California Department of Food and Agriculture will reimburse the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO for nursery stock and seed inspection services as set forth in that Agreement for term July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006; and

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to amend the Agreement, to provide additional High Risk Pest Exclusion agricultural truck shipment inspection services to increase the amount by $51,680 to a revised total obligation of $369,384.51; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of an amendment to Agreement (#05-0291) and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into same;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to Agreement (#05-0291), for a total amount not to exceed $369,384.51 for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo and the Clerk of the Board shall attest to the signature thereto.
