RESOLUTION: (1) WAIVING THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL PROCESS; (2) AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH BARTIG, BASLER & RAY BUSINESS ADVISORY SERVICES, LLC TO PROVIDE PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE TERM OF MARCH 15, 2006 THROUGH MARCH 15, 2008 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $300,000

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to the Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance the form of an agreement (reference to which is hereby made for further particulars) whereby Bartig, Basler & Ray Business Advisory Services, LLC (“BB&R”) will provide professional project management services to manage the implementation and integration of various enterprise computing systems into a electronic document/data management system within the Department of the Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder, for use by that Department and others within the County, from March 15, 2006 through March 15, 2008, for an amount not to exceed $300,000; and

WHEREAS, it is in County’s best interest to waive the Request for Proposal process and engage BB&R, because BB&R’s designated project manager is uniquely qualified to provide the services because of his unique knowledge of the Department’s systems and processes and County’s standards and policies; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has examined and approved said agreement as to both form and content and desires to enter into it; and

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Request for Proposal process is waived and the President of the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed to execute an agreement with Bartig, Basler & Ray Business Advisory Services, LLC to provide project management services for the term of March 15, 2006 through March 14, 2008 in an amount not to exceed $300,000 for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest the signature thereto.
