RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND KLEINFELDER TO PREPARE THE MIDCOAST GROUNDWATER STUDY, PHASE 2

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that:

WHEREAS, on February 4, 2003, the Board of Supervisors, by Resolution Number 65815, authorized an Agreement with Kleinfelder in the amount of $336,968 for the term of February 4, 2003 to December 31, 2004 to provide services to prepare the Midcoast Groundwater Study, Phase 2; and

WHEREAS, on December 14, 2004, the Board of Supervisors, by Resolution 067088, authorized a First Amendment to extend the term of the Agreement from December 31, 2004 to January 31, 2006 for the purpose of completing the services for the preparation of the Midcoast Groundwater Study, Phase 2; and

WHEREAS, the parties wish to further amend the Agreement by extending the term from January 31, 2006 to June 30, 2006 to allow for completion of the final report and subsequent participation in the public hearing process; and

WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with this Second Amendment and desires to enter into same:

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Second Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
