RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE QUITCLAIM TO THE PROPERTY OWNERS
ALAN D. AND MELINDA B. FITCH OF THE RIDING AND HIKING EASEMENT AT 496 RAYMUNDO DRIVE (APN 072-010-040)

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the Crystal Springs Trail accesses Huddart Park through a riding and hiking easement granted to the County of San Mateo by the Alan D. Fitch and Melinda B. Fitch, who are the owners of the property located at 496 Raymundo Drive, in Woodside (APN 072-010-040); and

 

WHEREAS, this easement has been in place for many years and the Town of Woodside has agreed to assume responsibility for maintainance of the easement as a component of the local trail system for equestrians and pedestrians alike; and

 

WHEREAS, Alan D. Fitch and Melinda B. Fitch have agreed to accept the quitclaim of the County’s easement interest in their property and to grant a like easement to the Town of Woodside; and

 

WHEREAS, the Town of Woodside City Council has indicated by unanimous vote at its February 14, 2006 meeting that the Town will accept such grant of easement and will maintain the public access and trail in good condition; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a Deed quitclaiming to Alan D. Fitch and Melinda B. Fitch the riding and hiking easement at 496 Raymundo Drive, and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires, to grant such Quitclaim Deed, contingent on Alan D. Fitch and Melinda B. Fitch’s conveyance to the Town of Woodside of a like grant of easement, and the Town of Woodside’s acceptance of said easement.

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that subject to the contingencies specified herein, the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said Quitclaim Deed for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto; and

 

IT IS FURTHER DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the County Manager or his designee is hereby authorized and directed to execute, for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, any notices, documents or escrow instructions in connection with the Quitclaim Deed to Alan D. Fitch and Melinda B. Fitch, and, when Alan D. Fitch and Melinda B. Fitch have granted a like riding and hiking easement to the Town of Woodside, the County Manager or his designee is authorized and directed to record the County’s Quitclaim Deed.
