RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND DEBBIE GREIFF CONSULTING

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on November 10, 2004, the County Manager’s Office executed an Agreement, in the amount of $50,000 for the term of October 1, 2004 to September 30, 2007, whereby Debbie Greiff Consulting would provide technical assistance for (1) the development of a Ten-Year Plan to End Homelessness; (2) the development of other funding applications/documents as needed; and (3) the provision of other services related to the development of housing for homeless persons and other services; and

WHEREAS, on September 13, 2005, the County Manager’s Office executed an Amendment to the Agreement, increasing the total amount of the Agreement by $50,000, for a total obligation of $100,000. In connection with the Amendment, the Contractor agreed to provide additional services such as facilitating monthly Stakeholder Committee Task Force meetings, revising the Process Timeline, overseeing the drafting of a provisional ten-year plan, and providing other services relating to homelessness; and

WHEREAS, the parties now wish to further amend the Agreement to increase the total amount of the Agreement by $33,000, for a total obligation of $133,000, to provide funding for additional meeting facilitation costs and implementation planning as connected to the completion of the Center on Homelessness HOPE Ten-Year Plan to End Homelessness, and do present information regarding the same to Board of Supervisors; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Second Amendment, and said Board has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo; and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
