RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT ONE

TO THE SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF MILLBRAE

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that:

WHEREAS, an Agreement was entered into with the City of Millbrae to receive temporary supplemental public safety services from the Sheriff’s Office; and

WHEREAS, the Agreement was for a three (3) month term, commencing on August 1, 2005 and continuing through October 31, 2005, for an amount not to exceed $99,999.00; and

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to amend the Agreement, whereby the Sheriff’s Office will continue providing supplemental public safety services, extending the term by eight (8) months to June 30, 2006, and increasing the contract maximum by $95,001 to $195,000; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of said Amendment One to the Agreement and has examined said document as to both form and content, and desires to enter into same:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED THAT the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized to, execute Amendment One to the Agreement with the City of Millbrae to receive supplemental law enforcement services provided by the Sheriff’s Office, for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board of Supervisors shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
