RESOLUTION TO WAIVE THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL PROCESS AND TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH J&B SOFTWARE, INC. FOR UPGRADING THE TAX COLLECTOR’S REMITTANCE PROCESSING HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $329,817.00.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and approval an Agreement between the County of San Mateo and J&B Software, Inc., whereby J&B Software, Inc. will provide remittance processing hardware and software upgrade services from March 29, 2006 to June 30, 2006 in an amount not to exceed $329,817.00; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to the Board of Supervisors for its consideration and approval a request for waiver of the request for proposal process for said remittance processing hardware and software upgrade services; and

WHEREAS, this Board has determined that the best interest of the County would be served without the necessity of the request for proposal process; and

WHEREAS, this Board has examined and approved the Agreement as to both form and content and desires to approve same.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo hereby waives the request for proposal process, and authorizes the President of the Board of Supervisors to enter into said Agreement between J&B Software, Inc. and the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest the signature thereto.
