RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF ELECTIONS OFFICER TO RENDER SPECIFIED ELECTION SERVICES FOR THE CABRILLO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THE MENLO PARK CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT IN CONJUNCTION WITH A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, JUNE 6, 2006.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, pursuant to State Law, the Governing Body of the Cabrillo Unified School District adopted Resolution No. 2-06 giving notice of holding a Special Election on Tuesday, June 6, 2006, for the purpose of submitting a Tax Measure to the voters of the District and requesting the Board of Supervisors to permit the Chief Elections Officer to render specified services to the Cabrillo Unified School District relating to the conduct of the Special Election; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to State Law, the Governing Body of the Menlo Park City School District adopted Resolution No. 05.06.16 giving notice of holding a Special Election on Tuesday, June 6, 2006, for the purpose of submitting a Bond Measure to the voters of the District and requesting the Board of Supervisors to permit the Chief Elections Officer to render specified services to the Menlo Park City School District relating to the conduct of the Special Election; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Elections Officer has been asked to perform certain services in conjunction with this Election; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Elections Officer is agreeable to providing election services to the Cabrillo Unified School District and the Menlo Park City School District; and

WHEREAS, in consideration of services and supplies provided by the Chief Elections Officer, the Cabrillo Unified School District and the Menlo Park City School District will reimburse the County for the costs of these services and supplies.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors authorizes the Chief Elections Officer to render specified election services for the June 6, 2006 Special Election.
