Resolution Authorizing the Director of Public Works to Execute Agreements with Universal Building Services (UBS) and Twin III Building Maintenance Company (Twin III) for Janitorial Services in Various County Facilities

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California that

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works conducted a Request for Proposals for Janitorial Services at Various County Facilities; and

WHEREAS, all submitted proposals were reviewed by an evaluation committee comprised of building services and administration services personnel; and

WHEREAS, the evaluation committee concluded that the proposal of UBS best meets the needs of the County for said services in the following facilities: East Palo Alto Municipal Center, Agriculture Building, Weights & Measures, Public Guardian, Records Warehouse, Canyon Oaks Buildings, Central Courts, Mental Health in San Mateo, Vocational Rehab, and Safe Harbor Shelter; and

WHEREAS, the evaluation committee conclude that the proposal of Twin III best meets the needs of the County for said services in the following facilities: Half Moon Bay Airport, Pacifica Library, and Sanchez Library; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that he be authorized to execute agreements with UBS and Twin III, and this Board has considered and concurs in the recommendation of the Director of Public Works.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Director of Public Works is herby authorized to execute the agreements with UBS and Twin III for Janitorial Services at various County Facilities.
