BACKGROUND

The Employee of the Month program was established in December 1984 to recognize and honor County employees who consistently demonstrate an outstanding level of performance.

Our Employee of the Month for April 2006 is Nicole Hayes, a Social Worker III in the Human Services Agency.

DISCUSSION

A County employee since 2004, Aaron “Nicole” Hayes is a tenacious social worker who has successfully managed some high-profile cases demonstrating exemplary work. On multiple occasions she has done a stellar job of testifying on high-risk cases to the point that the Presiding Judge even noted and profusely recognized her outstanding performance. This is often the most difficult aspect of a Children and Family Services worker’s tasks. Additionally, Nicole espouses a high degree of “can do” attitude. In the short time with the Agency, Ms Hayes has mastered the required Children and Family Services Competencies and this, in deed, is a personal achievement while promoting the Agency’s “Learning Organization” philosophy and practice.

Nicole was nominated by Pravin Patel, Social Work Supervisor, and Glen Brooks, Human Services Agency Director. They praise Nicole for her dedication and commitment to helping children and families in our community. Her consistent commitment to quality work must be recognized. Nicole is a true asset to our organization who has served many young lives.

Our County is fortunate to have Nicole Hayes as one of its outstanding employees.
