BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING (1) AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH SHELTER NETWORK TO INCREASE FUNDING FOR THE MOTEL VOUCHER PROGRAM AND TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR FAMILIES WITH SPECIAL NEEDS PROGRAM; AND (2) THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY TO EXECUTE SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS AND MINOR MODIFICATIONS NOT TO EXCEED AN AGGREGATE OF $25,000 AND TO MAKE MINOR CHANGES IN THE TYPES OF SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES PROVIDED UNDER THE AGREEMENT.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, on September 27, 2005, the Board of Supervisors executed an Agreement, in the amount of $416,120 for the term of July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006, for the purpose of providing the Motel Voucher Program and Transitional Housing for Families with Special Needs Program; and

 

WHEREAS, the parties now wish to amend the Agreement to add funding for the unexpected increase in the number of motel nights demanded and utilized by the program participants; the term of the original Agreement shall remain July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006; this Amendment will increase funding under the Agreement by an additional $125,000, for a total obligation of $541,120; and

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors, for its consideration and acceptance, an Amendment to the Agreement with Shelter Network to increase funding for the operation of the Motel Voucher Program and Transitional Housing for Families with Special Needs Program; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of this Amendment and has examined and approved such Amendment as to both form and content and desires to enter into this Agreement.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the

1. President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to the Agreement with Shelter Network for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto; and

2. The Director of the Human Services Agency to execute subsequent amendments and minor modifications not to exceed an aggregate amount of $25,000, and to make changes in the types of services and activities provided under the Agreement.
