BACKGROUND:

DISCUSSION:

In March 15, 2006, The San Francisco Foundation approved a grant to SMMC in the amount of $25,000 for six months to determine the oral health needs of low-income pregnant women and their children. Ultimately the goal of the program is to define and address the oral health needs of pregnant women on Medi-Cal.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The grant from The San Francisco Foundation is in the amount of $25,000. The term of the Agreement with the San Francisco Foundation is April 1, 2006 to September 30, 2006. The ATR will add $12,500 to the FY2005-06 Budget and $12,500 will be added to the SMMC 2006-07 Recommended Budget. There is no net county cost associated with this project.
