RESOLUTION

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the San Mateo Medical Center has received an offer of artwork from photographer Doug Van Kirk; and

WHEREAS, Administrative Memorandum D-6 requires that Board of Supervisors act to accept offers of artwork based on recommendation by the County’s Arts Council; and

WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Arts Commission, which superceded the County’s Arts Council, voted unanimously at their regular March 20, 2006 meeting to recommend that the Board of Supervisors accept the artwork and approve the exhibit of the six photographs in the Administrative Wing of the Medical Center;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors accepts the offer of six photographs by Mr. Doug Van Kirk and authorizes the display of the photographs in the San Mateo Medical Center Administrative Wing.
