COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION COGRATULATING THE

 

SEWER AUTHORITY MID-COASTSIDE

upon its

THIRTIETH ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATION

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

WHEREAS, Sewer Authority Mid-Coastside is being honored for its invaluable contributions to the people of Half Moon Bay and the San Mateo County coastside having cleaned more than 13 billion gallons of water in thirty years; and

   

WHEREAS, Sewer Authority Mid-Coastside will celebrate its Thirtieth Anniversary on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 in Half Moon Bay, California; with an Open House including tours of the facility on Saturday, May 13, 2006; and

   

WHEREAS, the skilled operators, employees and Board of Directors, both former and current, of Sewer Authority Mid Coastside, have given generously of themselves in keeping with the mission of the Authority to sensitively manage the natural resources entrusted to their care, and ensure the fiscal and environmental vitality of the agency for future generations; and

   

WHEREAS, the operation of a quality sewage collection and treatment system is often taken for granted; since Sewer Authority Mid-Coastside’s initial construction, the system has undergone tremendous improvements to maintain the most advanced technology possible in order to provide the community with superior service and reliable wastewater treatment; and

   

WHEREAS, through its diligence and exemplary endeavors over the course of thirty years, Sewer Authority Mid-Coastside has truly become an indispensable asset to the San Mateo County coastal community and it deserves a salute for its desire to enhance the public’s health, safety and welfare; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County does hereby issue this resolution congratulating Sewer Authority Mid-Coastside on its Thirtieth Anniversary.
