RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF ELECTIONS OFFICER TO RENDER SPECIFIED ELECTION SERVICES FOR THE PENINSULA HEALTHCARE DISTRICT IN CONJUNCTION WITH A SPECIAL MAIL BALLOT ELECTION TO BE HELD ON
TUESDAY, AUGUST 29, 2006

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to State Law, the Board of Directors of the Peninsula Healthcare District adopted Resolution No. 2006-01 calling for a special election by a mail ballot election on Tuesday, August 29, 2006, for approval of a measure proposing the transfer of certain district land and requesting the Board of Supervisors to authorize the County Elections Official to render specified services to the District relating to the conduct of the Special Election; and

 

WHEREAS, the Chief Elections Officer has been asked to perform certain services in conjunction with this Election; and

 

WHEREAS, the Chief Elections Officer is agreeable to providing election services to the Peninsula Healthcare District; and

 

WHEREAS, in consideration of services and supplies provided by the Chief Elections Officer, the Peninsula Healthcare District will reimburse the County for the costs of these services and supplies.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors authorizes the Chief Elections Officer to render specified election services for the August 29, 2006 Special Mail Ballot Election.
