Ordinance Amending Section 7.80.010 and Repealing Sections 7.80.020 through 7.80.240, Related to Bicycles in the Unincorporated Area of San Mateo County

The Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, ordains as follow:

Section 1.

Section 7.80.010 of the San Mateo County Ordinance Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

Section 7.80.010 ESTABLISHMENT OF BICYCLE LANES

The Director of Public Works, upon authorization from the Board of Supervisors, may designate on such streets or portions of streets the existence of bicycle lanes as may be necessary, and shall designate said bicycle lanes by appropriate signs and markings giving effect to bicycle lanes and otherwise regulating the location and use of vehicles and bicycles with respect to them, including but not limited to restricting parking in any bicycle lane.

Section 2.

Sections 7.80.020 through 7.80.240 are hereby repealed.

Section 3.

This Ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days from the passage date thereof.
