RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE EMPLOYMENT DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT (EDD) TO PROVIDE REVENUE SERVICES WITH WAGE AND EMPLOYMENT HISTORY DATA ON DEBTORS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Board previously authorized the President of the Board to sign an agreement with the State Employment Development Department (EDD) for the term of July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2006 whereby the EDD provided Revenue Services with wage and employment history data on debtors, according to the terms and conditions contained in said agreement, and

WHEREAS, the existing three year agreement with the EDD will expire on June 30, 2006, and the information provided by EDD has been valuable and cost-effective in assisting Revenue Services in recovering debt owed to the County; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance a new agreement with Employment Development Department for the term of July 1, 2006 through June 30,2009 in the amount of $5,466.20 to provide information to the Division of Revenue Services for collection of monies owed to the County; and

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors has examined and approved said agreement as to form and content and desires to enter into same:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said agreement with the State Employment Development Department (EDD) for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
