RESOLUTION WAIVING THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL PROCESS AND AUTHRORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT WITH MANAGED HEALTH NETWORK (MHN) FOR THE PROVISION OF EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SERVICE FOR THE PERIOD FROM JULY 1, 2006 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2009

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County conducted a Request for Proposal process in 2003; and

WHEREAS, the County desires to accept the renewal rates submitted by Managed Health Network (MHN) because it provides a large network and competitive costs for a three year term; and

WHEREAS, the Board has reviewed and approved the agreement with MHN for the provision of Employee Assistance Program services;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors waives the Request for Proposal process and that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to sign for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
