RESOLUTION APPROVING THIRD AMENDMENT TO AN AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND TAMMY DAWSON, ESQ. FOR THE PROVISION OF LEGAL IMMIGRATION SERVICES

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 31000, the County may contract with independent contractors for the furnishing of such services to or for the County or any Department/Agency; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that Contractor be retained for the purpose of performing legal immigration services for the Human Services Agency, Children and Family Services; and

WHEREAS, the parties previously entered into an agreement with Contractor dated September 11, 2001, for the provision of such legal immigration services; and

WHEREAS, the Agreement was amended on two prior occasions to extend the term of the contract and to increase funding for such services; and

WHEREAS, the parties now wish to further amend the Agreement to add $25,000, for a maximum payment amount of $149,000, with the term of the Agreement remaining July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2006.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the Third Amendment to Agreement is hereby approved and the President of the Board is authorized and directed to execute the Third Amendment on behalf of the County, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest to the President’s signature thereto.
