DISCUSSION
|
Doug has been a County employee for over 32 years. Doug was nominated by Bruce Fujikawa, the new Laboratory Director. During the nine months that he has been Laboratory Director, Bruce states that Doug has displayed exemplary performance. His initiative and willingness to work as a team player are well beyond expectations. During the 10 weeks the lab did not have a first line supervisor, Doug assisted Bruce to ensure the lab was operating efficiently.
Doug has taken on numerous assignments beyond his regular job duties to help make the laboratory a safer and more efficient place to work. Doug has taken the lead in several remodeling and safety projects. He worked closely with Public Works staff to ensure the timely and efficient completion of these projects. Doug has successfully developed new water tests to better prepare the lab to respond to a disaster such as an earthquake and a new test for nitrates that will provide a new service to Environmental Health and owners of private wells.
Our County is fortunate to have Doug Coffman as one of its outstanding employees.
