RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 1) WAIVING THE INVITATION TO BID (ITB) PROCESS; AND 2) AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE TWO PURCHASE ORDERS FOR MEAL RETHERMALIZATION AND DELIVERY EQUIPMENT FOR THE YOUTH SERVICES CENTER AND FOR THE ADJOINING GIRLS’ CAMP

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of

California, that

WHEREAS, the best interest of the County of San Mateo would be served by waiving the Invitation to Bid (IFB) process, in that Burlodge USA, Inc., is considered a sole-source provider of retherm meal delivery systems that can provide food service by cafeteria, family or individual tray methods; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance a request to allow the Purchasing Agent to issue two purchase orders to Burlodge USA, Inc., for a meal delivery system for use at the Youth Services Center and adjoining Girls’ Camp:

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the bidding process is waived and the Purchasing Agent is authorized to approve the form and execute two purchase orders to Burlodge USA, Inc., for a meal delivery system at the Youth Services Center and adjoining Girls' Camp on behalf of the County of San Mateo.
