RESOLUTION NO.

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT

WITH DMJM H&N FOR COMPLETION OF A NEEDS ASSESSMENT FOR

THE MAPLE STREET CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES INCLUDING THE WOMEN’S CORRECTIONAL CENTER.

 

    RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

    WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors has approved a plan and funding for a Needs Assessment and Preliminary Program Design for upgrading and/or replacing the current Maple Street Correctional Facilities; and

 

    WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptan

ce an Agreement, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby DMJM H&N shall conduct a Needs Assessment for the Maple Street Correctional Facilities; and

 

    WHEREAS, both parties now wish to enter into an Agreement, to conduct a Needs Assessment and Preliminary Program Plan Design for the Maple Street Correctional Facilities, for the period of July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007, and a total obligation of $121,690; and

 

    WHEREAS, the total cost for this project shall not exceed $130,000, which includes a contingency amount of $8,310, to be used solely at the County’s discretion for any unknown or unforeseen work or additional tasks requested by the County after the work is begun; and

 

    WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Agreement and has examined and approved same as to both form and content, and desires to enter into same:

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED THAT: the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized to, execute the Agreement with DMJM H&N, for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board of Supervisors shall attest the President’s signature thereto.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Sheriff or his designee is hereby authorized and empowered to execute, in the name of San Mateo County, all necessary amendments and minor modifications, including use of designated Agreement Contingency funds, provided the amendments do not increase the County’s maximum fiscal obligation as specified in the Agreement approved by this resolution.
