RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION, INVERVENTION AND TREATMENT (CAPIT), COMMUNITY-BASED CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION (CBCAP) AND PROMOTING SAFE AND STABLE FAMILIES (PSSF) THREE YEAR PLAN

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on May 23, 2005, the California Department of Social Services issued instructions for counties seeking funding for FYs 2005-2008 under the Child Abuse Prevention, Intervention, and Treatment (CAPIT), Community-Based Child Prevention (CBCAP) and Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) programs; and

WHEREAS, on July 26, 2005, in connection with the County’s application for CAPIT/CBCAP/PSSF funding for FYs 2005-2008, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo designated, approved and reaffirmed the San Mateo County Children’s Collaborative Action Team as the child abuse prevention coordinating council in San Mateo County and also approved the Human Service Agency’s submission of a Notice of Intent form to the Office of Child Abuse Prevention (OCAP) to administer the CAPIT/CBCAP/PSSF programs for FYs 2005-08; and

WHEREAS, as a condition of providing CAPIT/CBCAP/PSSF funding, the OCAP also requires that each county submit a CAPIT/CBCAP/PSSF Three Year Plan that has been approved by its Board of Supervisors; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such three year plan and such Board has examined and approved it as to both form and content.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the CAPIT/CBCAP/SSF Three Year Plan for Fiscal Years 2005-2008 as presented herewith is hereby approved.
