RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HR DIRECTOR TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT UPON COUNTY COUNSEL APPROVAL WITH VISION SERVICE PLAN FOR VISION BENEFITS TO EMPLOYEES AND RETIREES

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County has negotiated with its employees to provide Vision Service benefits for employees, retirees and their dependents; and

WHEREAS, the County has solicited proposals from providers for vision services and a Labor-Management Committee has unanimously proposed that the County contract with Vision Service Plan (VSP); and

WHEREAS, the Board accepts the recommendations of the Labor-Management Committee to approve a contract with VSP:

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors authorizes the HR Director upon approval by County Counsel to sign an agreement with VSP.
