BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION (1) WAIVING THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL PROCESS; AND

(2) AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH HART INTERCIVIC,

INC. FOR A COUNTY CLERK-RECORDER SYSTEM, FOR THE PERIOD AUGUST 1,

2006 THROUGH AUGUST 1, 2010, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $880,000.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to the Board of Supervisor for its consideration and approval the form of an agreement between the County of San Mateo and Hart InterCivic, Inc., reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby Hart InterCivic, Inc. will provide document imaging and management systems and related services for the Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder, for the period August 1, 2006 through August 1, 2010, for an amount not to exceed $880,000; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to the Board of Supervisors for its consideration and approval a request for waiver of the Request for Proposal process for said products and services; and

WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the best interests of the County would be served without the necessity of the Request for Proposal process, and

WHEREAS, the Board has examined and approved said agreement as to both form and content and desires to approve it;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that (1) the Request for Proposal process is hereby waived; (2) the President of the Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute the agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
