RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA ON BEHALF OF THE UCSF MEDICAL CENTER, UCSF CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL, AND UCSF MEDICAL GROUP

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, On June 7, 2005 the Board of Supervisors, by Resolution 67351, authorized an Agreement for the term January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2005 for the purpose of providing specialized medical care services to the San Mateo Medical Center; and

WHEREAS San Mateo Medical Center’s has a continued need for specialized medical care services that are not available on site or within the existing San Mateo Medical Center contract network, and

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to enter into an Agreement to provide specialized medical care services for the period January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2008 for a total obligation of $450,000; and

WHEREAS there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement, reference to which is hereby made, whereby the Regents of the University of California shall continue to provide professional specialized medical care services; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the Agreement:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signatures thereto.
