ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTORS OF AGING AND ADULT SERVICES, THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT, AND EMPLOYEE AND PUBLIC SERVICES AS THE PUBLIC AUTHORITY TO EXECUTE A SUCCESSOR MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION (SEIU) FOR IN-HOME SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR A ONE-YEAR PERIOD ENDING JUNE 30, 2007

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors, acting as the San Mateo County In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority, that

WHEREAS, here has been presented to the Public Authority for its consideration and ratification a Memorandum of Understanding for In-Home Supportive Services with Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 715, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, which provides for salary and benefits for the period commencing July 1, 2006, and ending June 30, 2007; and

WHEREAS, this Public Authority has examined and approved the Memorandum of Understanding as to both form and content and desires to ratify and adopt the same;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that this Public Authority hereby ratifies and adopts said Memorandum of Understanding and approves the schedules of compensation and benefits set forth therein.
