BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF PROPOSITION 84, WATER QUALITY, SAFETY, AND SUPPLY; FLOOD CONTROL; NATURAL RESOURCE PROTECTION; PARK IMPROVEMENTS; BOND; INITIATIVE STATUTE

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, San Mateo County parks and recreation require significant funding for deferred maintenance and capitol improvements; and

WHEREAS, Proposition 84 would allow the state to issue up to $5.4 billion in general obligation bonds for safe drinking water, water quality, water supply, flood control, natural resource protection and park improvements; and

WHEREAS, Proposition 84 dedicates some funding to specific areas and watersheds in the San Francisco Bay Area; and

WHEREAS, support of Proposition 84 furthers the County’s commitment to preserve and provide people access to our natural environment;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors by adoption of this resolution does hereby support Proposition 84 regarding, a water, flood, natural resource and park improvement bond act.
