RESOLUTION WAIVING THE RFP PROCESS AND AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH DELTA DENTAL FOR DENTAL BENEFITS TO EMPLOYEES AND RETIREES FOR THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 1, 2006 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2009

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County has established an agreement with delta dental PMI to provide managed dental care services; and

WHEREAS, the County has proposed a continuation of services a no premium increase to the County or employees; and

WHEREAS, the County wishes to accept the proposed continuation of services without a Request for Proposal process and has been presented with a form of such agreement for continuation of managed dental care benefits to County employees and retirees and their dependents:

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors waives the RFP process and that the President be and is hereby authorized and directed to sign for an on behalf of the County of San Mateo and the Clerk of the Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
