RESOLUTION CONTINUING DECLARATIONS OF EMERGENCY FOR
SAN MATEO COUNTY DUE TO MULTIPLE WINTER STORMS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Office of Emergency Coordinator proclaimed the existence or threatened existence of local emergencies on the following three occasions:

 

1.

The 2004-2005, winter storms that caused additional damage to the 1998 slide area and subsequent declaration (April 12, 2005 this Board adopted Resolution 067242)

   

2.

The December 31, 2005 storm and subsequent declaration (January 24, 2006 this Board adopted Resolution 067772)

   

3.

The March 27, 2006 storms and subsequent declaration

 

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors have ratified the proclamation of the existence or threatened existence of local emergencies,

 
 

WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Office of Emergency Services Coordinator does hereby find that these conditions of extreme peril to the safety of persons and property have continued within the County of San Mateo, caused by the above mentioned storms,

 

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the County to continue these three states of local emergency.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors authorizes the three states of local emergency be combined under a single continuing resolution for the unforeseeable future.
