BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT ONE TO THE AGREEMENT WITH TELECOMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERS ASSOCIATES (TEA) TO PROVIDE AND INSTALL EQUIPMENT UPGRADING THE COUNTY’S FIRE SERVICE RADIO SYSTEM.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, TEA has been upgrading and installing new radio and communication systems in San Mateo County for the past 18 years; and

WHEREAS, since 1999 TEA developed, installed, and maintained the County Fire Service’s radio infrastructure; and

WHEREAS, on November 11, 2005, this Board authorized the execution of an Agreement (Resolution No. 067635) with TEA to upgrade the County Fire Service’s radio, data, and communications systems, with a term commencing on September 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006, and in an amount not to exceed $375,000; and

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to amend the Agreement by increasing the contract maximum by $84,210, from $375,000 to $459,210, in order to purchase and install additional equipment needed to complete the Fire Radio Upgrade Project.

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Amendment One and has examined and approved same as to both form and content, and desires to enter into same:

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized to, execute Amendment One to the Agreement with TEA, for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board of Supervisors shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
