RESOLUTION

THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
|
RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING
|
SCOTT PRATT
|

|
WHEREAS, on this sixteenth day of September, 2006, SCOTT PRATT is honored for his gracious generosity and philanthropic selflessness in performing a benefit piano concert for the City of Millbrae School Music Programs; and
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, SCOTT PRATT has been a soloist with the LaJolla Symphony, the North Coast Symphony and most recently with the New City Sinfonia. He combines solo, church, and chamber music performances, teaching, recording, and acting as President of the local branch of the Music Teachers’ Association of California. His recent performances include those with popular Noontime Concerts, Old First Church and Sequoia Concert Series, and at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Community Music Center; and
|

|
WHEREAS, SCOTT PRATT has studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and at the Manhattan School of Music; and
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, SCOTT PRATT has won awards including being a four-time prize winner of the Musical Merit Foundation. He has performed throughout California and the United States; and
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, SCOTT PRATT is on the faculty of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Preparatory and Extension Division, and is also on the music faculty of Laney College.
|
|
|
|
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, on this sixteenth day of September, 2006, expresses congratulations and sincere gratitude to SCOTT PRATT for his inspiring contributions to music and for his compassion and goodwill toward the betterment of our community. The Board wishes him much happiness and continued success.
