BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE COUNTY MANAGER’S APPLICATION FOR THE ENHANCED DISPROPORTIONATE MINORITY CONTACT TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROJECT GRANT FUNDING, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THE GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA CORRECTIONS STANDARDS AUTHORITY (CSA)

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the San Mateo County desires to participate in the Enhanced DMC Technical Assistance Project supported by federal Formula Grant funds administered by the Corrections Standards Authority (hereafter referred to as CSA); and

 

WHEREAS, receipt of said funding requires that the County of San Mateo apply of the grant and designate the Probation Department as the implementing agency on the grant application as well as the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement as set forth by CSA; and

 

WHEREAS, in order to meet the application deadlines, it has been necessary for the County Manager, or the County Manager’s designee, to execute and submit the application for said grant funding by October 2, 2006, and this Board of Supervisors wishes to ratify the execution of the application, and to authorize the County Manager or his designee to execute any other documents necessary to secure said grant funding.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors ratifies the execution and submission of the application for Enhanced DMC Technical Assistance Project, and County Manager, or his designee is authorized on behalf of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors to submit the grant proposal for this funding and sign the Grant Agreement with the CSA, including any amendments thereof on behalf of the County of San Mateo including any amendments thereto,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that San Mateo County agrees that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that San Mateo County agrees to abide by the statutes and regulations governing the federal Formula Grants Program as well as the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement as set forth by the CSA
