RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS PALO ALTO HEALTH CARE SYSTEM FOR PROVISION OF SPACE AND RESOURCES FOR WILLOW CLINIC AND THE METHADONE TREATMENT PROGRAM FOR THE TERM AUGUST 11, 2006 TO AUGUST 10, 2011, AT AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $3,245,842

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the Department of Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) will provide space and resources for the Willow Clinic and the Methadone Treatment Program;

WHEREAS, the term of the current Sharing Agreement expired August 10, 2006. Negotiations have just been completed for a new Agreement; and;

WHEREAS, the parties wish to enter into an Agreement for five years, from August 11, 2006 to August 10, 2011, at an amount not to exceed $3,245,842 ($607,797 for August 11, 2006 to August 10, 2007; $627,486 for August 11, 2007 to August 10, 2008; $648,664 for August 11, 2008 to August 10, 2009; $670,098 for August 11, 2009 to August 10, 2010; and $691,797 for August 11, 2010 to August 10, 2011).

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the five-year Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signatures thereto.
